Move to Bracemark
Move from Karakeep
Export Karakeep bookmarks as HTML, import the file, and check the lists and details that came across.
Karakeep offers a browser bookmarks HTML export. Choose that format for Bracemark, rather than Karakeep’s own full export file, which Bracemark doesn’t read.
Export from Karakeep
In Karakeep, open Settings → Import / Export → Export and choose Netscape / Browser (HTML). Save the .html file. This path is recorded in a Karakeep export issue; the project’s release notes also mention fixes to its Netscape HTML exporter.
Import and check
Open Settings → Data in Bracemark, choose Import data, and select the HTML file. Addresses and titles come across, along with details the file carries. Bracemark skips links it already has.
The browser bookmarks format doesn’t carry Karakeep’s full-page archives, PDFs, or images. A reported Karakeep HTML export wrote bookmarks flat rather than preserving its list tree, so check the resulting lists before relying on them. The general import guide explains formats, duplicates, and plan limits.
